Our care guides are trained professionals who listen first and provide honest, informed guidance.

The care guide will conduct a brief clinical assessment to understand your situation. This includes questions about substance use history, duration and severity of use, any co-occurring mental health conditions, previous treatment experiences, and any urgent safety concerns. The assessment is confidential and typically takes fifteen to twenty minutes. Based on this information, our team will recommend an appropriate level of care—whether that is medically monitored detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, or standard outpatient programming.

We will verify your insurance benefits and explain your coverage in plain language. Our admissions coordinators work directly with insurance carriers to determine what is covered, what out-of-pocket costs to expect, and what authorization is needed. We work with Medicare, Medicaid, most major private insurance plans, and self-pay options. Financial barriers should never prevent someone from accessing treatment, and our team will help identify every available option.

Step 2: Assessment

The admissions process

If same-day or next-day admission is appropriate, our admissions team will coordinate all logistics. We will confirm which campus best fits your clinical needs, explain what to bring and what to leave at home, and walk you through the first-day schedule. For clients who need transportation assistance, we can arrange ground transport or help coordinate travel plans. We regularly admit clients from across the country and have experience managing long-distance admissions smoothly.

On arrival, each client receives a comprehensive medical evaluation and psychiatric assessment. Our physicians review medical history, current medications, and any acute health concerns. A personalized treatment plan is developed within the first 48 hours, incorporating input from the medical team, therapists, and the client. Family members who are designated by the client will receive updates and be invited to participate in family programming as treatment progresses.

Once a client is admitted, family members have access to family therapy sessions, psychoeducation workshops, and regular clinical updates. Our family programming addresses codependency patterns, communication breakdowns, boundary-setting, and the emotional impact of addiction on spouses, parents, children, and siblings. We also connect families with community resources such as Al-Anon, Nar-Anon, and family support groups in their area. Recovery is a shared journey, and we believe that informed, supported families are one of the strongest predictors of long-term success.
