Myrtle Cove Recovery in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, specializes in step-down care—intensive outpatient programming, standard outpatient, and aftercare with sober housing integration. This 88-bed campus serves adults who have completed higher levels of care at other RVK campuses or elsewhere and are ready for the transition to outpatient life. Myrtle Cove is designed to support that critical step-down period when structure remains essential but 24/7 care is no longer needed.
Intensive outpatient (IOP) at Myrtle Cove provides 3–5 sessions per week, approximately 3 hours per session. Clients participate in group therapy, relapse prevention, individual counseling, and case management. We offer morning and evening tracks to accommodate work and family schedules. IOP is the workhorse of addiction treatment—flexible enough for real life, intensive enough to drive meaningful change. Our IOP curriculum is evidence-based and tailored to individual needs.
Sober housing integration is a distinguishing feature of Myrtle Cove. We work with local sober living homes to provide housing options for clients who need a substance-free environment during IOP or outpatient care. Sober living offers peer accountability, structure, and a bridge between treatment and independent living. Our case managers help clients find appropriate sober housing and coordinate with house managers to support recovery.
The alumni program at Myrtle Cove extends support long after formal discharge. We conduct follow-up at 30, 60, 90, and 180 days, connect alumni with community resources, and facilitate re-admission when a higher level of care is needed. Many clients who complete treatment at other RVK campuses transition to Myrtle Cove for IOP or aftercare; we provide continuity across the RVK system.
